I peep into the oven and notice in delight that the pie looks nearly ready. I notice something. It is on top of the pie. It is a fish shaped piece of pastry designed to add character to the pie.

Did everyone say ‘Soh-crates’ (two syllables) when they were younger? Sometimes when I’m reading in my head I still say it like that. I hope I never make a mistake and say it out loud in front of people. Soh-crates. So-cra-tees. Hmm.
